Warranty Support

If something is not working as it should, our team can help you check the item, confirm the warranty status and guide the next step. We support customers from Fourways, Johannesburg and across South Africa with practical warranty assistance for home training gear and trackers.

How warranty support works at FitSmart

Warranty support starts with a quick review of the product fault, your proof of purchase and the date you bought the item. We use that information to confirm whether the concern is a warranty matter, a setup issue or normal wear from regular use.

For fitness trackers, home training equipment and accessories, the first step is often a simple product check. In many cases, a battery issue, loose connection or incorrect setup can be sorted without sending the item away. If the product does need servicing, we will explain the next step clearly and let you know what to pack and where to send it.

  • Keep your invoice or order confirmation close by
  • Note the product model, serial number if available, and the fault
  • Send clear photos or a short video when requested

What to send with a warranty query

When you send a message through our contact form , add your order number and the size you ordered. Order number, product and purchase date let us check the record and advise on the correct process.

  • Your full name and contact number
  • Order number or proof of purchase
  • Delivery town or suburb, such as Sandton, Midrand, Randburg or Pretoria East
  • What the product is doing, and when the problem started
  • Photos of visible damage, error messages or worn parts

If the item was installed or assembled at home, tell us whether it was used on a flat floor, near moisture, or in a spot with strong dust or heat. That sort of detail helps when we assess the fault and it can save time later.

Product checks for trackers and home gym gear

Some problems can be checked before a return is arranged. This is especially useful for smart trackers, treadmills, exercise bikes, weights stations and similar home training items. Load-shedding, unstable power points and uneven floors can cause faults that look bigger than they are.

We may ask you to test the product again after a reset, a cable change, a battery charge or a different power point. For equipment used in humid coastal conditions or garages with dust, we may also ask about storage and cleaning. A quick check can prevent unnecessary collection, and sometimes the issue is fixed in minutes not days.

  • Switch the item off and on again after a full charge or reset
  • Check plugs, batteries and connection points
  • Inspect for loose screws, cracked casings or damaged cables

When a repair, replacement or service return is needed

If the fault cannot be solved through a basic check, we will guide you through the return or service process. Depending on the product and the fault, this may involve inspection, repair, replacement of a part or a replacement unit where the warranty terms allow it.

We coordinate the process so you know where the item must go and what to expect while it is being assessed. If the product is bulky, such as a larger training machine, we will explain how collection or drop off is handled. Please do not strip the item down unless we ask you to, because that can slow things down and may affect the assessment.

Helpful steps before you open a claim

Before opening a warranty claim, it helps to work through a few basics. These steps often solve simple issues, and they also give us better information if the product still needs attention.

  • Check that the product was used as instructed and within its rating
  • Confirm that all parts are fitted correctly and nothing is missing
  • Try the item on a different socket or device if relevant
  • Make a note of any sound, error code or flashing light
  • Take photos in good light, even if the fault is small

If you are not sure whether the item is covered, just send the details through and we will take a look. It is better to ask early than to wait until the problem gets worse.
